The second race of the âśModelcar-Novamodel Challengeâť 2011 was held at Vizela track, one of the fastest Portuguese tracks. It was raining on Saturday, so I didnâ™t practice.
On Sunday morning when we arrived at the track, there was a lot of water on the track because of the rain during the night, but after some hard work from the track owner and a few mechanics, the track was okay to race on begin.
In my semi-final while leading, I had a problem with a fastener which made me lose some time in the pits, but when I got back onto the track I pushed hard and got a spot in the A-Main.
At the beginning of the A-Main I made some big mistakes and I had to push hard even harder than in the semi to win, battling with Ricardo Monteiro almost until the end. It was difficult, but a very tasty win.
We had two XRAY 2011 in the A-Main: me and my friend Jorge Gonzaga.
